Thanx to all my friends for responding so kindly. I always appreciate your comments.

A brief background on this post:

Jon (AKA: Jonwon) was a dear friend of mine since the early 1970\'s. Although he didn\'t participate much on this site as a member, he was never lacking words concerning guitar and music whenever we would get together. We would jam occassionally with another guitarist (who also passed about a year ago) cranking out some really good jams. Jon had a voice that had a lot of range and character. He was a crowd pleaser whenever he would play out in public (Uncle Jon Band), often getting his audience to join in with him. Some people just have a knack for getting the crowd involved in the music, and he was an excellent front man with a long, long set list. He will be dearly missed by his family and many friends made throughout the years. His memory will live on however, because of his deep love for music and the many people who crossed his path. I know whenever I hear \"The End\" by Morrison, I will hear his voice.

Wow Tod I didn\'t know you were paying tribute to an NLGTV Member, It wasn\'t all that long ago he was on the site. I remeber answering a post he made, maybe like a month /month an a half ago. Our deepest sympath goes out to you, his family and friends...here\'s to you Jon!!!...
Re:Harvest - kingsrv October 23rd 2008 12:58
My goodness Tod, I didn\'t realize either. Just checked and his last post was on September 30th. From the post I remember of his he was very insitefull. My condolence to you and his friends and family..
Re:Harvest - halb October 23rd 2008 1:28
It says a lot that he will be remembered for his artistic contributions to this little world that we are ever so briefly visiting on our journeys. From all the posts and your tribute, it is obvious that he was a valued friend and musician to those that knew him.

Peace,
Hal

Firstly, my condolences Tod, to you and everyone that was touched by Jonwon. When it is all said and done, the actions and attitude of someone many times far outweighs there accomplishments. It seems that this person was one of those people. This world needs many more to live and love in this manner..........

Secondly, your song was excellent mixed superbly and played with care and control. The outakes were a bonus that I\'m sure all of us can relate to. Nicely done Tod, a smoking tribute.........
Re:Harvest - teegee October 23rd 2008 7:12
Thanx again friends. Your heartfelt thoughts are humbling.

Oh, and the outtakes would have made Jon laugh. That\'s why I included them, not to be offensive. He always kidded me about being such a perfectionist and would poke fun at me to make me loosen up. Well, as you can see, I have the same problems playing guitar that most people have. My natural ability is limited. It takes a lotta practice to make a video worth anything.

So, here\'s my spin.....

Death is a constant... no way to avoid it.

I chose to celebrate life. I try to take the time to look closely at the roses and appreciate them for their gifts. Too many times we go so fast past the important things. The cost of which is immeasurable.

Jon, I hoist a cold one to ya man. To live a life that left such positive impressions on those surrounding you means \"You Win\'! Well done Bro!
Re:Harvest - AncientMariner October 24th 2008 5:01
Don\'t think I ever had a chance to talk to jonwon in the chat room but he really sounds like a great guy. My prayers go out to his family and all his friends whether here or elsewhere.
Re:Harvest - parispat October 25th 2008 10:32
TG,

That was a most beautiful song, which I feel is the most wonderful tribute. I am sorry for your loss, but it is now God\'s gain.
By the way, your talent is not limited. Your guitar playing is outstanding. You need to be \"fined\" for such a remark. Continue sharing that gift of music that you have, because, believe me, you are not just a guitarist, but a musician.

Peace,
Pat
Re:Harvest - Jimmylegs October 25th 2008 5:09
My condolences to you Teeg and to Jon friends and family. That was a great tribute song for him. I just remember him replying and asking a question about the guitar I was piecing back together, seemed liked yesterday. Also seemed like a very nice person. Unfortunately, like yourself, my wife just lost her brother this past Sunday also. Only 41 yrs old, he had a massive stroke. He will be laid to rest on Monday.

We walk through life with an internal fuse burning, some last longer than others, once that fuse burns out, which nobody knows when, it\'s your time to move on.

The human body is the most complicated piece of machinery in the world. Nobody has yet to fully figure it out.

Piece to all!!
