This is the final song we played at the benefit. Thought it was kind of appropriate.

Re: Last One - MitchNovember 20th 2008 11:59 great job guys....also a great selection for a finale...i'll say it again..as a non-acoustic guys I'm really digging your sound...and I mean guitars and vocals...you guys found a nice niche for yourselves....i light my lighter and hold it over my head!!!!
Re: Last One - teegeeNovember 20th 2008 2:05 One of the best live renditions of this song I've heard in a long time. One wonderful finale dudes. Sung very soulfully... and the acoustic rhythm produced a cadence for me. Great job.
Re: Last One - HottscullNovember 20th 2008 2:40 Hottscull stands... faces west....
Holds his lit bic in the air.....
Outstanding performance B, Marshall & Joe. The entire set you shared with us was great! You dudes got something special going on here.... roll with it bros.

Re: Last One - CliffNovember 21st 2008 8:54 I dig the song. I dig the band playng acoustic. I dig the performance. But most of all, I dig the hat!
Re: Last One - WardriveKeithNovember 22nd 2008 9:02 I also enjoyed the entire set. I will admit I had to listen to this one twice cuz I wasn't sure of it all the first time through. I think the acoustics of the room defeat how good this song would really "sound" with more reverb or in a larger (more acoustically shaped) hall. I think it would be super powerful in an environment like that.
I realize it was a benefit and you take what you're given but I questioned in all of the recordings the choice of the close flat wall behind wondering if there was an acoustically better place in the place. I guess I write this thinking a reader might recognize the power a sound person has or placement could have on ramping up a performance even more.
That said, it is an excellent choice for a final closing tune at a benefit and I LOVE the two acoustic guitar one lead setup. There is great quality in these songs. There is a togetherness there that is very, very nice.
Re: Last One - kingsrvNovember 22nd 2008 10:58 Thanks everyone, I\'m glad you enjoyed the set. It was fun and we are really working on different aspects of our sound, trying new things.
Keith, as for the sound. The organizers were supposed to provide sound and when we arrived the basically had a karaoke machine for us, so fortunately I had brought some of our equipment. We had about 30 minutes to unload and set up what we had, didn\'t really get much time to dial in the sound. Also video was done with a small mini dv camera set up in the back corner of the room out of the direction and off to the side of the sound and using the onboard mic, which effected the audio quality of the video.
Again thanks everyone for your input and support. Well have to see what barley mow can come up with next..
Re: Last One - MusiccaNovember 25th 2008 2:24 Excellent tune fellas. Brandino, Mike, Joe ..... the acoustic thing between yas has a great group vibe. It may not be where yall want to head, but take what you can from it. IMO it has helped bring you 3 together even tighter than the pre-acoustic Barley Mow days. Way to rock it !!!
