Re: Fender Lone Star Strat Review - CliffMarch 14th 2008 6:33 Wow it sounds great. I was thinking of buying a regular 'ol MIM Strat just to have a tremelo. But you and Todd are making me re-think my plan.
Re: Fender Lone Star Strat Review - MusiccaMarch 14th 2008 11:03 As an advocate for PARKER GUITARS, I just gotta say.... Nice f*!#@n Strat man !!! I really like the tortoise shell pickguard with the white body. Very snazzy indeed. Maybe someday I will stroll into the realm of Fender, but untill then, I\'m quite content to look and learn. Nice demo dude !!!
Re: Fender Lone Star Strat Review - HottscullMarch 14th 2008 11:23 Very sweet looking axe there Ian. Sounds great too. Thanks for the review bud.
Re:Fender Lone Star Strat Review - IanMarch 14th 2008 12:11 YA that was the one thing that really caught my eye when I first seen this guitar. The Tortoise brown pick guard on a white body was a real contrast and cool looking with the white pups and knobs. I originally wanted this guitar in the tri colour burst but Long and McQuade couldn\'t get that one in. But I think I made a good choice in selecting the white.
The video quality was pretty bad because I had to reduce the video format to 128 bit cause the original video was just over 15 minutes long and I had to cut portions out to make it smaller. It was still 165mb even after I did that so that is where the video had to suffer.
I notice some string binding in the nut and the string guide so this is why I want to replace the string guide to the roller type. I will have a look at the nut later and put some graphite in there as well.
Re: Fender Lone Star Strat Review - CrashMarch 14th 2008 1:35 Right on Ian nice purchase. The SRV tone is pert near spot on. I was looking at those just recently myself. Nice setup for the price. By the way my dog was sleeping under the comp desk here until you switched on the overdrive. He got up all huffy and looked at me like I was messing with him as he walked out of the room LOL, you gotta love dogs.
Re:Fender Lone Star Strat Review - JimmylegsMarch 14th 2008 5:47 Sweet!! Nice!! Good sounding too. Is the body on that larger than usual or is it just me? Just seems a little bigger than the other strats. Or might be because I never seen you sitting down playing. Great guitar though - how many is that now? I still only have 2.
Re: Fender Lone Star Strat Review - knoxvilleMarch 14th 2008 6:18 sounds great ian.. nice review..
Re:Fender Lone Star Strat Review - IanMarch 14th 2008 6:21 LOL that would make 5 I have now, but only 4 that I can actually plug in. One is together but there are no pups or controls in it. I use it for like a semi acoustic lol It is a knockoff Tele that I picked up a long time ago. Not like the original Tele I had and sold!
And nope this guitar has the standard sized body, could be that it is white too.
