Thanks guys, what got me about this pup is that it had some real weight to it, I think it is around 10 ounces or just under 3/4 of a pound and it added a little bit more weight to my guitar. Mitch I thought about recording the installation after the fact lol, I said dam I should have recorded this. Mitch I had no problems putting it in you shouldn\'t either. A pair of these in your Vantage V will rock the planet man! As per your request for a link here is the link.

How does it compare to the BCR you took out?
Re:GFS Crunchy Rail Demo/Soundtest - Ian January 15th 2008 8:52
Much better tone and a lot higher output. It has great dynamics and the harmonics are pretty much effortless. A very good buy and an excellent replacement for the 22 year old pup that was in the guitar. The BDSM pup that I replaced was somewhat hollow sounding it really didn\'t have any tone to it, I had to adjust my amp and pedals to accommodate for the lack of tone I was getting from the stock pickup. With the GFS pup it has bass and mids in the pup and is very noticeable.

What a great addition to your sound for just over $30 bux. Amazing! Bet it gives you the urge to find more jamming time.
Re:GFS Crunchy Rail Demo/Soundtest - Ian January 16th 2008 10:14
Ya it does give me that urge but finding the time to jam is still a problem. It is hard having 2 children under 4. That\'s why I don\'t do any videos until at least after 9 every night and then there\'s that little quirk where you feel like playing all day long and once the time comes you don\'t feel too much like playing anymore. Or at least that\'s the way it is for me . I think I am going to start doing some MP3 so there\'s no pressure in doing a video, I will just sit at the computer and play along with my fav bands and record it.

Looks like a helluva deal Ian. Nice outcome after the anticipation of the wait. Great sounding and economical, gotta love that !!!
Re:GFS Crunchy Rail Demo/Soundtest - Ian January 17th 2008 1:23
Ya I think sooner or later though that these pups will eventually start climbing in price. I was planning to buy 3 more. I want to get one of the 10k lil killer\'s (single coil sized humbucker) for the neck of my BC Rich and I also wanted to change the pups in the Dean to the less output 15.4k power rails. After what I went through to get the 1 I got I am not so sure if I want to do that again and if I do they will all be ordered at the same time. But ya you cant beat that with a stick, Right price and 4 months of waiting maybe a little extreme but it was worth it in the end.
Re: GFS Crunchy Rail Demo/Soundtest - Cliff January 17th 2008 6:15
Yea!, it arrived. Finally! How many months you been waiting for them? That was a good demo, Ian.
Re:GFS Crunchy Rail Demo/Soundtest - Ian January 17th 2008 12:34
Just under 4 months Cliffy I waited. Only because the company who makes them was having shipping problems.

LOL sounds like my nlgtv sleeveless tee\'s! I think I ordered them over the summer or something it\'s been so long. ROFL
