Re: Pickup Install Final Part 8 - vaxwellApril 13th 2008 2:28 After watching all the vids, I think it's really interesting seeing how you did things vs how me and my friend did things.
For one thing, we've got different guitars. lol. I have a fixed bridge, so I have to either cut the strings, or uncoil them from the tuners. I can't really keep a string on, because as soon as you take five off, and then losen tension, the tune-o-matic bridge falls out and without the bridge, the string will be hitting the pickup. lol. Silly LPs
We did the neck first, and then the bridge, so we didn't have to take the bridge out again like you did... I also had all of my electronics replaced, so we had to put solder on all of the parts beforehand, and then we just touched the iron to the parts and they geled in a few seconds (that was cool! hehehe)
I've also noticed that it's much easier to do this standing up with a good work surface and a neck support. lol
But yeah, definately awesome. I'm glad you went with the black and cream instead... I really was against the red.
ROCK IAN!!
(And wow... the site just went offline for about two hours, then! not cool)
